I've sold many, bought many, but always wondered about G-Shocks. I would never become a G-Shock collector but do have three now.
Buttons stopped working on my GG1000. I was going to do a hand home position adjustment on my gg1000 midmaster and while holding the adjust button it flashes H. SET, then returned to timekeeping mode displaying the date at the top. Currently none of my buttons are working. Is there some kind of button lockout mode, i can't find anything about one.

I tested several watches this way and found some defective/misplaced seals this way but never destroyed a watch. :-d. 1. never trust cloud services. 2. always keep control of your data. M.
